THE SKIING
A very good selection of beginner’s slopes in the bowl at the top of the Frejus cable car. Very good for
groups with a mixture of abilities as the more advanced can head off towards Monetier or Chantemerle and always meet back up with the beginners for lunch without having to go down to the bottom of the
pistes. For snowboarders there’s a halfpipe, big air, snake and free ride.
THE VILLAGE
There are 3 centres to Villeneuve la Salle, the Pre Long (you’ll find the Tourist Information, and a few good
ski shops here), Aravet (halfpipe, shops, restaurants, bars) and the old village which also has shops, restaurants and bars. All of these areas are within walking distance. You’ll find a very good
selection of bars, 2 nightclubs, restaurants and shops along with other amenities : doctors, chemist, supermarket, laundry, key cutting, hairdresser, beauticien, photographer, garage, newsagents...
Just above Villeneuve la Salle is the hamlet of le Bez with it’s old typical houses, small streets and fountains all adding to it’s charm. The holiday centre Club Meditteranean is situated just next to
Le Bez.
