Serre Chevalier lies within the Guisane valley. This valley has plenty to offer in the summer : picturesque villages and hamlets, larch forests, mountain chalets and meadows, mountain torrents, the fauna and flora, pastures, lakes and mountain passes (Galibier, Lautaret, Granon…).

The highest town in Europe, Briançon, is based at the bottom of Serre Chevalier at the crossroads of five valleys. This town is wedged between the Ecrins National Park (where you’ll find the mecca of mountaineering Ailefroide) and the Queyras Regional Park (home to one of the most beautiful villages in France, St Veran).
