Other activities on offer during the winter : cinema, ice rink, casino, skidoo, parapenting, horse drawn sleigh rides, go-karting on ice, equestrian ski joring, hot baths, snowboard kiting, visit of the old walled town of Briançon, etc.

If you fancy skiing in another resort one day Serre Chevalier has got some great neighbouring ski resorts. You can ski from France into Italy have a lunch and ski back again (Montgenèvre-Clavière), or why not spend a day in the famous resort of la Grave with its 2050 metre vertical drop, all off-piste..

Serre Chevalier is also a great destination during the summer with plenty of varied activities eg. mountaineering, hiking, mountain biking, cycling, fishing, horse riding, rock climbing, visiting the local patrimony and places of interest...

Serre Chevalier lies within the Guisane valley. This valley has plenty to offer in the summer : picturesque villages and hamlets, larch forests, mountain chalets and meadows, mountain torrents, the fauna and flora, pastures, lakes and mountain passes (Galibier, Lautaret, Granon…).

The highest town in Europe, Briançon, is based at the bottom of Serre Chevalier at the crossroads of five valleys. This town is wedged between the Ecrins National Park (where you’ll find the mecca of mountaineering Ailefroide) and the Queyras Regional Park (home to one of the most beautiful villages in France, St Veran).
Plenty of things to do and see : mountain biking, climbing, Via Ferrata, walking, cycling, fishing, rafting, canoeing, horse riding, swimming, paragliding, mountaineering, golf, museums, guided tours of historical buildings...
