	SERRE CHEVALIER SKI RESORT

Serre Chevalier is made up of three main villages (Monetier les Bains, Villeneuve and Chantemerle) and the fortified town of Briançon. Neighboured by the Ecrins National Park and the Queyras Regional Park this ski resort lies within the Guisane valley and has numerous hamlets each with their own charm and character.
With it’s 300 days of sunshine a year together with northfacing slopes, it makes for a winning combination for a ski holiday.

Monêtier les Bains - Serre Chevalier 1500.
The highest village lying at 1500 metres above sea level. Monêtier les Bains is the most authentic village (yes I am bias because I live here, but it’s true) with a strong french feel.
Accomplished skiers should head for Monetier with it’s great blacks and off-piste. Monetier’s big attraction is it’s Hot Baths, a great idea after a days skiing - just lie back in one of the individual spa baths or relax in the outdoor pool (37°C).

Monêtier during the summer time is a great base for plenty of activities: walking, mountain biking, climbing, white water sports, etc.
The Bachas chairlift gives easy access to the high mountain environment. You can go up to the restaurant for lunch under the sun, you can walk back down to the village (1 hour 30 mins) or go down on your bike. The Bachas chairlift is also the access for the Via Ferrata (climbing route with protection in place - you can hire the necessary equipment in the sports shop in the village).

Monêtier also has an outdoor pool, tennis courts, small lake with boat rental, archery, trampolining for children, skate park, beach volley, etc..
