Serre Chevalier is also a great destination in the summer. The ski lifts are open, taking you up the mountain where you can hike, mountain bike, dine in one of the restaurants with a view, visit the marmotte observatory, etc.
The old town of Briançon (UNESCO listed) is definately worth a visit with its small cobbled streets, its gargouilles, its fountains... You can participate in a guided tour to visit the Cordeliers Church (15th century), the “Fort des Têtes” fortress (18-19th century) or the Notre Dame Collegiate Church, Saint Nicolas (18th century).
Other activities : swimming pool, fishing, mountaineering, climbing, paragliding, cycling up the famous mountain passes...
